My father is the creator of Put It Out© and I consider myself an experienced cook, however one day I was boiling water and sugar for my visiting hummingbirds. Something I would consider the simplest of tasks. This time I got distracted and walked away from the stove. Suddenly my house was filled with smoke and the smell of burnt sugar. I immediately ran to the kitchen to see 2 1/2 foot flames reaching my stove vent. All I could seriously think was, "I wish I had a Put It Out© rag from my dad." I felt panic and anxiety about what else I could do without having this product on hand. Instead I turned to water which could have ended disastrously for my home and my chance of serious burns and scarring. I was lucky this time… Now I have a Put It Out© rag always within reach in my kitchen!
